Which car can you drive for Uber and Bolt?

Our conditions: which cars we accept

The car has to meet all of these at once. What counts is your particular car, not the model in general — which is why we check it before connecting you.

• built in 2010 or later — the production year shown in the registration certificate (dowód rejestracyjny)
• at least 5 seats — three people fit in the back
• 4 or 5 doors
• working air conditioning
• technical condition that allows carrying passengers
• valid OC (third-party liability) insurance and roadworthiness test
• clean, well-kept interior

What driving your own car costs

We charge only 80 zł a week. On top of that comes VAT of 8% on transport services — a tax we pay to the tax office, not our income. Everything left after the Uber and Bolt commission is yours. There is no deposit when you drive your own car.

Uber and Bolt requirements in Poland

The platforms set their own rules for cars. We quote them from their official pages as of 26.10.2026. Uber and Bolt can change them, so the source always has the current version.

Where the platforms ask for more than we do

We tell you upfront so that nothing comes up only at verification in the app.

• Uber accepts only left-hand-drive cars registered in the European Union. A right-hand-drive car, or one registered outside the EU, will not pass Uber verification.
• Bolt wants a car in excellent technical condition with no damage. Dents and scratches on the body can stop verification even if the car runs perfectly well.
• Higher categories need newer cars: Uber Comfort — built in 2018 or later, Uber Black — 2020 or later, Comfort and Premium on Bolt — no older than 10 years. An older car drives in the basic categories: UberX and Bolt.
• XL categories mean 7 seats on Uber and at least 6 passenger seats on Bolt — a regular 5-seat car does not qualify.
• Both platforms check the markings: Uber wants a photo of the car with a taxi roof sign and city marking, Bolt wants photos with side numbers and city markings plus the taxi stamp in the registration certificate. We tell you what your car needs at the first conversation.

Where we ask for more

• Year: Uber accepts cars built from 2005 and Bolt up to 20 years old; we accept cars built in 2010 or later.
• Air conditioning: the platform rules do not require it; we do, and it has to work.

How to check your car in two minutes

• Production year — it is in the registration certificate. It must be 2010 or later.
• Number of seats — field S.1 in the registration certificate, i.e. seats including the driver. You need at least 5.
• Doors — 4 or 5. Three-door versions, coupés and convertibles do not qualify, even if the same model also comes as a five-door.
• Air conditioning — it has to work, not just be listed in the specification.
• OC insurance and roadworthiness test — both must be valid.
• Condition — the car runs well, is clean inside and has no faults that get in the way of carrying passengers.

Model list: which cars usually qualify

We have gathered models that are popular in Poland. “Fits” means the body and number of seats meet our conditions — your car still has to be built in 2010 or later, with working air conditioning, valid OC and roadworthiness test. “Check papers” — the model comes in versions with different numbers of seats. “Does not fit” — too few seats.

Questions about specific models

• Can I drive a Toyota Corolla for Uber and Bolt?

  Yes. The Corolla — saloon, hatchback and estate — has 5 seats and 4 or 5 doors, so it meets our conditions if it was built in 2010 or later and has working air conditioning, valid OC and roadworthiness test. The hybrid version qualifies too.

• Is a Toyota Avensis suitable for Uber and Bolt?

  Yes, if it was built in 2010 or later. The Avensis — saloon and estate — has 5 seats and 4 or 5 doors. Production ended in 2018, so cars from 2010–2018 are the ones that count. With an older car, look at the bodywork: Bolt requires a car with no damage.

• Can I drive a Škoda Octavia for Uber and Bolt?

  Yes. An Octavia — liftback or estate — built in 2010 or later meets our conditions. The same goes for the Superb, Fabia, Rapid and Scala, and among the SUVs the Kamiq, Karoq and Kodiaq. Only the Škoda Citigo does not fit, as it has 4 seats.

• Is a Suzuki Vitara suitable for Uber and Bolt?

  Yes. The Vitara built since 2015 has 5 doors and 5 seats. The older Grand Vitara also came as a three-door — only the five-door built in 2010 or later fits. The SX4 and SX4 S-Cross meet the conditions too.

• Is a Toyota Prius suitable for Uber and Bolt?

  Yes, if it was built in 2010 or later — in practice, the third-generation Prius and newer. The 7-seat Prius+ fits as well. Be careful with the Prius Plug-in: some versions have only 4 seats, so check field S.1 in the registration certificate.

• Is a Toyota Yaris suitable for app-based taxi work?

  Yes, but only the five-door version built in 2010 or later — the three-door does not qualify. The Yaris is a small car, so before you apply, look at the registration certificate: field S.1 should say 5 seats. The Yaris Cross fits too.

• Are the Dacia Logan and Sandero suitable for Uber and Bolt?

  Yes. The Logan and Sandero, as well as the Duster, Jogger and Lodgy, meet our conditions if built in 2010 or later. The exception is the Dacia Spring, which has 4 seats. The Dokker fits only as a passenger version with 5 seats in the registration. No car? You can also rent a Dacia Sandero or Logan from our fleet.

• Can I drive a Tesla or another electric car?

  Yes. The Tesla Model 3, Model Y and Model S have 5 seats and meet our conditions. Others that fit include the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia Niro, Kia EV6, Škoda Enyaq, Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4, Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe. The BMW i3 does not fit — it has 4 seats. Bolt has a separate category for electric cars, Comfort Electric: the car must be no older than 10 years, and additional quality metrics may apply.

• Do the Toyota Aygo, Fiat 500 or Kia Picanto qualify?

  The Toyota Aygo and Fiat 500 do not: they have 4 seats, and three people must fit in the back. The same goes for the Peugeot 107 and 108, Citroën C1, Volkswagen up!, Škoda Citigo, Seat Mii, Renault Twingo and Smart. The Kia Picanto, Hyundai i10, Fiat Panda and Suzuki Ignis come in versions with 4 or 5 seats — field S.1 in the registration certificate decides.

• My car was built in 2009. Can I drive it?

  No — we accept cars built in 2010 or later, even though Uber and Bolt allow older ones. You can drive a car from our fleet instead: rental from 300 zł a week, with OC insurance, inspections and servicing included.
