What an Uber and Bolt driver in Katowice really earns
Job ads usually show the largest number available — the turnover inside the app. What reaches your pocket is something else. Here it is broken down: what is left on your own car, what is left on ours, and what goes out along the way. We promise none of these figures — it comes out differently for everyone, depending on the hours worked and when you go out.
“Earnings” means three different numbers
Turnover in the app is what the passengers paid. After the Uber and Bolt commission there is less. What you keep is less again, because fuel comes off it, and on a fleet car so does the weekly rental. When someone shows a single number with no explanation, it is almost always the first of the three.
Your own car: 1500 zł a week
That is the average for drivers working with us on their own car — and it is the figure after the Uber and Bolt commission and after our fee. Those who pick the peak hours and do not accept every job reach 3000 zł. This is not a promise: the result depends on how many hours you drive and what time you go out.
What else comes off your own car
- Fuel — the biggest item, and it grows with every empty kilometre.
- Wear: tyres, pads, oil, servicing. In this work that is not a once-a-year expense.
- Insurance and the roadworthiness test — on you.
- Taxes and contributions if you settle through your own business.
A car from our fleet: what you pay, what is included
- Rental from 300 zł to 490 zł a week, depending on the model.
- The 390 zł and 490 zł rates apply when you fuel up for 350 zł a week on our fuel cards. Without that the rate is higher by 100 zł.
- Included: servicing, insurance and a replacement car whenever yours is off the road.
- A 600 zł deposit — refundable, returned once the car is handed back and fines are checked.
Our fee: 80 zł a week
That is everything we take from a driver. We charge no commission on rides — Uber and Bolt do that. Your statement also shows 8% VAT on transport services: that is a tax, not a fee of ours, and we do not calculate it for you on this page — that is what an accountant is for.
What actually moves the number
Not the city and not the model of the car, but the hours. The same driver in the same car has one kind of week when they go out in the morning and the evening, and quite another when they drive in the middle of the day.
